ASME HPV East 2013: Log 2 - Final Prep



Woke up in a very cold, below 0 degrees temperature this morning. After breakfast at McDonalds, we start working on the bike. There's still lots to be done before the safety and technical inspection this in the afternoon. The chain, the seat, among the big things that needs to be done. Ferris State HPV team has been very helpful to lend us some space in their workshop.


Around 3pm, all the necessary things are done. And so, CELERO is ready for the event. Woohoo!!

ASME HPV East 2013: Log 5 - Good Ending

We're now on the way back to Toronto, after the Banquet Ceremony at Ferris. The only event today was the Endurance Race, where bike-utilitiness was tested. Whether the bike can go across a S-turn, hairpin turn, downhill, uphill, stop at stop sign, bumps, etc. The new thing the organizer put in this year was that each team must take in and put out a grocery bag (with groceries inside) to a station for 3 sets. Anyway, UofT team did very well in the event. We were a bit slow during the obstacles, but since we have three wheels, there's no need for any of the other team member to be along the course of the Endurance, helping to get the bike up. Well, we didnt actually allowed to do that, as it was against the rules (which was different last year). We get the 1st Place for the Endurance event, with 4 more laps than Missouri M&T and Rose Hulman. The final prize and other prizes were given during Banquet. We got 3rd in Men's Drag, 3rd in Women's Drag, 1...
