MWGi 2012 (TeamCanada) : Log 3 - Registration

Today's session started with the Networking Session between the participants and organizer and some companies who came in to give some talks.



We first registered ourselves which then we got out tags, some coupons. And I added to the collection a Midwest Games official T-shirt.

Then, we went the University of Illinois Bookstore. Since one of the coupons entitled each of us for a $5 USD off our puchase. And coincidentally, there's a 'Buy1Get2Free' t-shirt sale; so i shared them with Fazry and Sham.



Well, 9PM tonight will be the briefing session for all contingents. Till then, later.

ASME HPV East 2013: Log 5 - Good Ending

We're now on the way back to Toronto, after the Banquet Ceremony at Ferris. The only event today was the Endurance Race, where bike-utilitiness was tested. Whether the bike can go across a S-turn, hairpin turn, downhill, uphill, stop at stop sign, bumps, etc. The new thing the organizer put in this year was that each team must take in and put out a grocery bag (with groceries inside) to a station for 3 sets. Anyway, UofT team did very well in the event. We were a bit slow during the obstacles, but since we have three wheels, there's no need for any of the other team member to be along the course of the Endurance, helping to get the bike up. Well, we didnt actually allowed to do that, as it was against the rules (which was different last year). We get the 1st Place for the Endurance event, with 4 more laps than Missouri M&T and Rose Hulman. The final prize and other prizes were given during Banquet. We got 3rd in Men's Drag, 3rd in Women's Drag, 1...
