UofT HPVDT Waterford : Log 1 - Going Over

This weekend, UofT Human Powered Vehicle Design Team (HPVDT) will take on another competition, the HPV Rally at Michigan.

As usual, this event is held at Waterford, and the team are planning to have all of the members riding all three of our masterpieces; Ace, Vortex and the new Bluenose.




Currently, the team is still on its course for Michigan. Still a long way to go. Thanks to Danielle for driving.

ASME HPV East 2013: Log 5 - Good Ending

We're now on the way back to Toronto, after the Banquet Ceremony at Ferris. The only event today was the Endurance Race, where bike-utilitiness was tested. Whether the bike can go across a S-turn, hairpin turn, downhill, uphill, stop at stop sign, bumps, etc. The new thing the organizer put in this year was that each team must take in and put out a grocery bag (with groceries inside) to a station for 3 sets. Anyway, UofT team did very well in the event. We were a bit slow during the obstacles, but since we have three wheels, there's no need for any of the other team member to be along the course of the Endurance, helping to get the bike up. Well, we didnt actually allowed to do that, as it was against the rules (which was different last year). We get the 1st Place for the Endurance event, with 4 more laps than Missouri M&T and Rose Hulman. The final prize and other prizes were given during Banquet. We got 3rd in Men's Drag, 3rd in Women's Drag, 1...
